Not that it really matters...

But I'm really feeling like I need a change with my hair. I'm trying to grow it out and it's at that stage where you just find it really annoying. I need to get it re-shaped because it's been forever since I last had it cut. Plus, it's just too 'heavy' in certain spots, so it would be nice to get the layers re-done. Even my flat iron is having trouble taming my 'do'.

So yes, a haircut is most definitely in order, but I'm also starting to get the itch for some color. After about 15 years of coloring my hair, I can actually say that it's back to being 100% virgin: non-colored hair. Can you believe it?! I can't... and to be honest, I thought my hair was a dark to medium brown. But no, it's quite black. Very black.

Even though it's night time, there's no
exaggeration of how dark my hair is.

And I realize that being Asian means that it's quite 'normal' to have black hair, but I'm thinking that I might want to add a little 'somethin' - somethin'. You know,  to mix it up a bit.

So does anyone have any suggestions?
I'm seriously open to any and all ideas!

ok, wait, I love the black...I really do. Love it on you. AS for the flat iron not taming, get a Chi. Always tames. Or, even better, get the Keratin treatment that I just had done (sort of like the Brazilion blowout, but WAY better, and healthier for your hair) love, love, love it, dont need my Chi or anything else, just get out of the shower and go. Seriouslly no blow dry, nothing, air dries tame...No frizz, no funk bumps etc. LOVE IT! So my vote (not that it counts or anything) but, keep the black, get the Keratin.

Rach, I love the black too. So healthy and shiny :) If you do something, be prepared, (you and I are so weird like this), its so funny you should post this, TONIGHT I got the itch, so I thought I'll just go and get a few highlights, no biggie...2 overprocessed hours later...I am in tears, I look like a skunk. I'm not exaggerating. And it's too late to do anything about it. But earlier this week I ordered a Chi and am hoping it will help...ugh! :)

Ohhhhh, do some red! I've always wanted to do some red make mine a little strawberry blonde, but my hairdresser said do NOT color my perfectly blonde hair. So I'll live through your color!

Many moons ago, I had colored my hair auburn. Was a nice change, but then again, this was also with the dreaded perm. Then I wanted the beautiful Asian black hair so I had to grow the color out....not a good look, half black half auburn. From that moment on, I swore I would never color it again and I haven't. Present day, I have the typical long, straight Asian hair style BUT when I look at the color, it is not the shiny black hair that I would like. Mine is more very dark brown, dull looking and yes, I'm in a rut and won't cut it. Like I would lose my super strength powers, ya know? Good luck and maybe I will get inspired by what you decide....maybe.

From a Korean to Korean, leave it black!! I colored my hair for years too and it's now completely o'natural and almost as dark as yours! And after seeing Zoey's long dark locks, I'm glad mine is black is too!

And P.S. Kmoana - that stinks! But I'm sure you are still a pretty skunk! :)
