Our Foster Mom is Not a Liar

she said that he hated to get his hair cut.

it was cut twice before I got him
and each time was at the salon.

considering that it was already growing out
I thought it actually looked pretty good.

but then it started getting close to his eyes
so I knew he needed a trim.

I figured I could just do it super fast
right after he got out of the bathtub.

I wrapped him in a towel
and sat him on the counter in the bathroom.

Bob held him ...

... and I totally jacked up his hair.

the sides are a mess and still too long
a tuft of hair on the back of his head sticks straight out since I cut it too short
so I quit while I was ahead

and now for some reason when I look at him I get the urge to watch
'Dumb and Dumber'

{sorry Charlie, I guess next time we'll go to the salon}

Aww...Rachel, Charlie still looks as adorable as ever - LOVE the new look! Colin screamed bloody murder the entire time he got his haircut - I'm hoping his hair grows slow so we won't have to go back anytime soon ; )

I think he looks adorable! Kyle HATES getting his haircut - I tried 2 times to get his haircut at a salon with the last time resulting in a buzz cut because he has a major fear of scissors.

Hysterical! It actually doesn't look that bad, though the Dumb & Dumber comment cracked me up.

HAhahahaha!!! You're hilarious! And Charlie's still a cutie! I've done the same thing many times. The only thing that worked for me when my son was that age is to turn on Curious George and cut his hair while he watched that. I would spread an old sheet on the floor, sit him on a kitchen chair in the middle of the sheet, and work QUICK ;)

He is darling! I am a college friend of the Wisners and have been reading your blog since I found out that you were going to Korea to adopt. A friend of mine and her husband just got a little boy from Korea at the end of August. He is a little bit older than Charlie, he turned 2 in July. They also adopted through Holt. Anyhow, he got his first haircut courtesy of his aunt (my roommate) and screamed bloody murder! He also had a rough time at night in the beginning because he was used to someone being next to him on the floor. You're doing a great job! Thanks for blogging! :)
